Common Sense Networks
Passionate about the ebbs and flows in media programming, I joined Common Sense Network's new children's streaming service Sensical following my time at NBCUniversal. There, I worked as a content moderation coordinator where I led a team of education and media specialists to review content for our streaming service (Sensical) and partnerships (e.g. TikTok STEM, YouTube). This role required constant, clear communication of company policy and a problem-solving mindset to find opportunities in obstacles. I conducted industry research and content analysis to provide our partnerships with effective strategies using presentations and written memos. Additionally, I worked across departments (Acquisitions, Sales, Content Operations, Programming) to ensure project completion along our pipeline.
• Led a team of 20+ education specialists in moderating traditional, streaming,
and digital long and short-form content
• Assessed pitches for streaming suitability
• Managed TikTok STEM partnership by quality controlling 5,000+ videos per week
• Executed deliverables for multiple-year key partnerships
• Interpreted metadata using proprietary CMS to create reports and identify gaps for improvements
• Managed project completion across Acquisitions, Sales, Content Operations, and Programming departments to provide new, exciting programming to young viewers.
• Conducted industry research across new digital media, video games, and traditional media to keep our priorities fresh and relevant.

During my senior semester of college I was a Sales, Development, and Production intern for LOTUS ENTERTAINMENT, a studio in Los Angeles that produces a variety of domestic and international film and television projects. While there, I performed administrative duties, script coverage, pitch deck polishing and creation, meeting scheduling, email correspondence, etc. Overall, this internship has developed both my creative and business mindset, cultivating a willingness to dive straight into the fast-paced environment of the media industry.
The Studio
A creative space and media incubator, the studio operates in giving students an opportunity to experience the realities of the work involved in bringing a creative vision to a financial reality. From 2017 to 2018, I was the director of creative acquisitions where my duties included: Collaborating with other student execs on The Studio's events/workshops/projects, Analyzing and assessing pitches for creative and financial feasibility for development and production, and Constructing contracts for accepted pitches.
In November 2017, my role as especially pivotal during our "Pitch It to Produce It" competition. As the Content Acquisitions Director for The Studio, I was responsible for scouting and reviewing student pitches based on The Studio's creative, financial, and brand guidelines, selecting six to pass through the first stage. I then collected their treatments (for which I designed and gave guidelines for) and promotional videos for the second round of judging (in which all studio execs had a say), and prepared pitchers for their presentation during the event. In addition, I assisted in creating the event's schedule, set-up, and organization, and collaborated with industry alumni for the final round of judging during the event as well.
