As a storyteller, I know THAT creative writing is integral to my work. Be it screenplays, personal essays, news articles, novellas, poetry, or short stories, I find exploring the written narrative a rewarding endeavor and have pursued it my entire life thus far. IN HIGH SCHOOL I SUBMITTED AND EDITED MULTIPLE WORKS FOR THE SCHOOL LITERARY MAGAZINE, WROTE BOOK REVIEWS FOR THE SCHOOL PAPER AS THE CHIEF EDITOR, WROTE SCRIPTS (WHICH I LATER PRODUCED) FOR MY VIDEO COMMUNICATION CLASSES, AND ENGAGED IN VARIOUS CLASSES TO ESTABLISH MY SKILL IN ESSAY AND CREATIVE WRITING.

A MEDIA COMPANY AND ONLINE MAGAZINE CREATED by AND AIMED AT MILLENNIAL WOMEN FROM AROUND THE WORLD, THE TEMPEST has published a few articles written by me that focus specifically on the intersections of gender and race in media (both behind and in front of the camera).
During June I wrote a television review for mediaversity, an online organization that analyzes and critiques tv shows and films based on their understanding and handling of quality, race, gender, and lgbtq topics.

aS AN INTERN AT SPLIT OAK PUBLISHING PRESS AT ITHACA COLLEGE during the spring semester of 2017, i updated Social Media and website, created Book cover designs, Observed and took notes on the processes of other small presses, Read and edited manuscripts, AND Interacted with artists for book covers. i have also organized author video interviews to promote their works.
During Spring 2017, I worked as a writer for the award-winning kids show "ithakids," in which I wrote SEGMENTS and discussion topics for both the hosts and children onscreen to engage in.
during spring 2017 i held the position of THE CULTURE EDITOR AND WRITER FOR THE ON-CAMPUS MAGAZINE ic distinct. i searched FOR ARTICLE TOPICS as well as WRotE, Delegated, ORGANIZEd, AND EDITed PIECES FOR PUBLICATION. IN addition to editing the pieces for the 2017 spring issues (april, may, june), i have also written book reviews for the magazine.

Interviewing, reporting, and writing articles for the ithaca voice, an online nonprofit news organization, I gained experience in journalism as a writing intern by researching stories and producing articles relating to arts & culture for the site.
A nOVELLA SPANNING ABOUT 28,000 WORDS, broken robots IS A WORk I COMPLETED DURING HIGH SCHOOL. tHE STORY TAKES PLACE IN A FUTURE AMERICA WHERE TECHNOLOGY HAS ADVANCED WHILE SOCIETY HAS FALLEN INTO A FUEDAL SYSTEM. hERE, THE PERSPECTIVES OF FIVE ROBOT PERSONAL ASSISTANTS TO THE ROYAL FAMILY OF THE NORTHEAST DISTRICT ARE DETAILED, AS WELL AS THEIR EXPERIENCES AS THEY SLOWLY BREAKDOWN AND DEVELOP EMOTIONS. YET, THERE IS TROUBLE IN THE KINGDOM, AND THIS SCI-FI TRAGIC FAIRYTALE INTENDS TO HAUNT THE READER LONG AFTER THESE EMOTIONS ARE REVEALED. (Coming soon)
